Project Details
Location: Moorabbin, Victoria
Client: City of Kingston
Size: 3,500sqm

Master planning and concept design of the redevelopment of Moorabbin Junction and the realignment of Taylor Street.

The project proposes to transform a deteriorating shopping centre into a vibrant retail, recreational and cultural hub.

The design aims to connect  ground level strip and boutique shopping precincts with podium level community facilities, playgrounds, and food precincts via a series  of public plazas, walkways and amphitheater spaces.

A key design principal is to convert the expansive concrete and asphalt environment into an a series of inhabitable green spaces via a number of ESD initiatives.

Theses include passive WSUD infiltration systems, rain gardens and below ground stormwater storage and harvesting for the irrigation of the podium gardens.
